Thought to have ancient Chinese origins, but this cannot be verified. Quite unlike any other rose. Produces single blooms of yellow, copper, pink and red. Colour of blooms deepens with age. Lightly scented and always in flower. A large, vigorous shrub with good foliage, plum coloured when new. A fine performer.
