This rose was released to celebrate 50 years of the most famous of all roses, Meilland’s ‘Peace’ rose, and also to mark the 50th Anniversary of the end of WWII. The rose is like a mellowed version of the ‘Peace’ rose – honeyed apricot buff where it was yellow, a coppery pink instead of the clearer pink. The ‘Spirit of Peace’ blooms are perfectly formed in the most classical sense. Excellent, long lasting cut flower, with a heady, spiced honey perfume.
