Eye of the Tiger

A beautiful new colour in the new Persica range of roses (2016). Yellow with a red/orange eye. A mild fragrance on a healthy bush. At last.

A new race of roses derived from Rosa persica a native of Iran and Afghanistan. This thin, prickly shrub is considered a weed of cultivated land and is collected as firewood. Its one unique feature is a dark central blotch on its golden yellow flowers and it has been the Holy Grail of rose breeders for the last 40 years to somehow transmit this feature into a modern healthy repeat flowering cultivar. This Rose may be viewed in the garden.
