Salvia ‘Silas Dyson’


There are more than 900 species of Salvia and ‘Silas Dyson’ is an upright shrub with masses of deep red flowers. Wine purple buds followed by rich crimson blooms that mature to a deep pinkish red. Very floriferous with the eye catching red flowers occurring  from mid summer to late autumn.  Upright, dark green foliage give added depth to the plant.  Give light prune in mid spring and.

Silas Dyson is semideciduous and may die back in very cold weather.  Best planted out of heavy frost in a well drained garden bed with part to full sun.
